Designed around loadshedding, not despite it
The mistake we see most often in existing installations is treating backup power as a single decision — either the whole system has it or none of it does. That's the wrong way to think about it.
We tier the design instead: the gate, the cameras, the alarm and one or two priority lighting circuits stay on backup power, while less critical circuits don't need to. That keeps the parts of the system you actually rely on during an outage running, without paying to back up everything in the house.

Very few properties automate everything in one project. The typical starting point is the gate, entrance cameras and one or two lighting circuits — the parts that matter most day-to-day — with the system built to expand later rather than needing to be replaced.

Do I need to automate my whole house at once?
No — most of our clients start with one part of the property, usually the gate, cameras and a lighting circuit or two, and expand from there once they're comfortable with how it works. There's no requirement to commit to a whole-house system upfront.
Will my smart home still work during loadshedding?
The core functions — gate access, cameras, alarm and a priority lighting circuit — run on backup power so they keep working through an outage. We tier the system during design so the parts you actually need in a power cut are the parts that stay up, rather than the whole installation going dark at once.
Can I control everything from one app?
Yes — that's the point of automating rather than just installing separate systems. Gates, cameras, lighting and access control are brought together so you're checking one app instead of switching between several.
